Evaluation of COVID-19 Diagnosis Codes for Identification of SARS-CoV-2 Infections in a Nursing Home Cohort, 2022–2023

Patel A, Payne AB, Currie DW, et al. Journal of the American Medical Directors Association (JAMDA), 2024.

DOI: 10.1016/j.jamda.2024.105440

A validation study assessing how well COVID-19 diagnosis codes identify true SARS-CoV-2 infections in a nursing home cohort, evaluating diagnostic criteria against a gold-standard confirmatory endpoint. The methodology is directly analogous to interim monitoring of accumulating data against predefined criteria.

Co-author

Hatfield K, Wiegand R, Reddy S, Patel A, et al. Vaccine, 2024.

A real-world vaccine effectiveness study using Cox proportional hazards modeling and time-dependent exposure analysis across a large claims-based nursing home cohort.

Conference presentation
