How I got here

My work sits at the point where public health data meets a decision someone actually has to make. That habit started early in my career and has carried through everything since.

I came up through field epidemiology at the Florida Department of Health, spending my days on case investigations and contact tracing during the COVID-19 response, before moving into clinical trial data management at Emory's Vaccine and Treatment Evaluation Unit. Since 2022, I have carried that same instinct into real-world evidence and data science work at CDC's Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion: the conviction that a dataset only matters once it reaches someone who has to make a decision with it, whether that is a nursing home clinician, a CMS analyst, or a member of CDC leadership. That is the thread running through the epidemiology, RWE, biostatistics, and data science lenses on this site.
